About me

Robert served our nation for over 20 years, managing and leading visual information and public affairs professionals across multiple levels of military command in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was able to travel in support of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts, national-level community relations events, international exercises, and engagements around the globe.

During his service, he received multiple awards and attained the rank of master sergeant and retired from active duty in 2025. Before retirement, Robert was the Communication Strategy Advisor for Marine Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia.

Robert holds an M.A. in Executive Leadership from Liberty University and a B.A. in Graphic Design and Media Arts from Southern New Hampshire University.

2025 — Present

Leads communications and community relations, leading the planning and execution of effective and innovative information, communication, and public relations strategies for Newport News Public Schools. Facilitates the development and maintenance of programs that enhance community relations while skillfully managing the distribution of information about the school district to both internal and external audiences. Acts as the primary spokesperson for Newport News Public Schools and serves as a trusted executive advisor to the superintendent on all matters related to communication, public relations, and community engagement.

Communication Strategy Advisor

Marine Forces Command, U.S. Marine Corps

2021 — 2025

Served as the advisor to the Director of Communication Strategy, leadership, and subordinate commanders on operational planning and tactical implementation of personnel to achieve communication goals for more than 50,000 U.S. Marines along the Eastern Coast of the United States.
